Sports and Fitness

As counselors, we believe that sports and fitness provides a great destresser and supports positive mental health. 

From Psychology Today, "exercise is well known to stimulate the body to produce endorphins...the body’s natural feel-good hormones which can make problems seem more manageable. The simple act of focusing on exercise can give us a break from current concerns and damaging self-talk. Further, depending on the activity, people may benefit from calming exercises, be energized, and get outside or interact with others, all of which are known to improve mood and general health."

This page is available to provide motivational sports moments and different workout activities to engage in. 


Weekly Zoom Workout Club:

The counselors have linked with Mr. Ross, one of ECMS' P.E. Teachers to offer workout activities for staff, students and families. 
You may also join with your video turned off and audio muted, to make it more comfortable. 

During Distance Learning, we will be providing weekly Zoom Workouts:
Every Wednesday from 11:30-12:00PM

Please RSVP by completing the Zoom Workout Form. Once you have submitted the form, Mrs. Mruz will send you an email with the Zoom Log-in information.
