School Counseling
Dear El Cerrito Middle School Families:
We
understand this may be a stressful time for our students and their
families. In this new setting, the El Cerrito Middle School Counseling team wants to
make sure we continue to support students. Under the American School
Counseling Association virtual counseling guidelines, it is important
that we communicate the expectations and limitations of providing
virtual school counseling. School counselors have the responsibility to
support all students in academic and social/emotional development that
would still emulate school counseling that would take place in a
face-to-face environment. Virtual school counseling is a way to reach a
diverse student set, to help students meet their potential and have an
impact on their learning in a way they may not receive in a traditional
face-to-face school environment.
With
that said, below you will find a list of the emails of our counseling
staff and our office hours. Please feel free to reach out to your
counselors as needed.
