SACRAMENTO- The CNUSD Communications team attended the annual California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) conference earlier this month where they won various awards recognizing their accomplishments and contributions in the public relations education sector. CalSPRA is a statewide organization that promotes better public understanding, commitment and support of public education. This year's CalSPRA awards held particular significance as it was CNUSD’s first time receiving an Award of Excellence and they received not just one, but two of these prestigious accolades at the state level.

The following projects received an Award of Excellence:

Bailey Brown Memorial Automotive Scholarship Video: This initiative, dedicated to the memory of Bailey Brown, a former CNUSD student passionate about automotive studies, received acclaim for its impact on female students pursuing careers in the automotive industry.

Multi-Tiered System of Support: Unity Program Video: CNUSD’s Unity Program aims at fostering inclusivity and support for students of diverse backgrounds and needs. This video was recognized for its effectiveness in promoting student success and well-being.

Additionally, CNUSD also received two Awards of Merit for the following projects:

CNUSD Elementary Website Refresh: Showcased the District’s commitment to enhancing digital accessibility and communication with parents and community.

Inspiring Futures at Corona-Norco Adult School: Viridiana Rosete, Paraeducator Video: This project highlighted the dedication and contributions of Viridiana Rosete, a paraeducator, in empowering adult learners to achieve their educational goals and pursue fulfilling careers.

Lastly, CalSPRA awards special individual recognition accolades, and this year CNUSD Superintendent Dr. Sam Buenrostro was highlighted as a Superintendent to watch.
